Austin Peay State University is proud to recognize students who were on the Dean's List during the Fall 2016 semester

The following students achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University for the Fall 2016 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Wrestling team was back in action on Saturday, November 12 as they competed in the Dan Gable Open in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This would be a big event for the Patriots as it would be the opening meet for several of UC's top wrestlers coming into the season. Several Patriots would have top finishes including some first places finishes in one of the season's largest tournaments.

The Dean's Award for academic excellence is awarded to students with a 3.30 or higher term average.

Several area students graduated from Roane State Community College following the 2015-16 academic year. For the first time, Roane State broke the 1,000 mark in graduates for an academic year with 1,076 students earning 1,101 awards. Here is a list of the graduates. Cum laude indicates a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.5-3.69. Magna cum laude represents a GPA of 3.7-3.89, and summa cum laude indicates a GPA of 3.9-4.0.

Students received a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree from Samford University.

Belmont will break its previous record of number of students participating in summer study abroad opportunities, including the University's maymester trips, as 506 students pack their bags to travel to nearly 30 countries.

Dr. Dennis M. Wiseman, provost of Wofford College, has announced Dean's List students for the Fall 2015 semester.

Samford University releases dean's lists after the close of the fall and spring semesters each academic year. To qualify for the dean's list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Dean's List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

University of the Cumberlands conferred 570 degrees in December.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Wrestling team opened up their 2015-2016 season this weekend as they hosted the Patriot Open at the O. Wayne Rollins Center. In what has became a traditional kickoff for the Patriot Men's Wrestling team it would have the same success it has in the previous years. The Patriots hosted several schools from all over the country and saw great finishes among some of the best the NAIA has to offer.

The following student has been named to Berry College's fall 2015 Dean's List, according to Provost Kathy Richardson. The Dean's List honors students who posted an academic average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale while carrying a class load of at least 12 hours during the semester.

Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) has placed nearly 500 students on the Dean's List for the Spring semester of 2015. To be placed on the Dean's List, the student must be a full-time undergraduate and have a 3.5 grade point average for the semester.
