Roane State Community College students received a variety of honors for their work during the 2014-15 academic year.

Columbia State Community College congratulates the spring 2015 graduates whose names were recently announced. The nearly 390 graduates will continue their studies at other colleges and universities, as well as enter directly into the workforce.

Area students made the president's list at Roane State Community College. To be eligible, a student must attain a 4.0 grade-point average while attempting 12 or more semester hours of college-level courses.

To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must attain at least a 3.5 grade-point average while attempting 12 or more semester hours of college-level courses.

The following students achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University for the Spring 2015 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

The following people recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

Awarded to Samford University students who write outstanding essays on subjects involving our Colonial history.

The Dean's Award for academic excellence is awarded to students with a 3.30 or higher term average while enrolled in 3.75 or more course hours.

Several UC wrestlers were recognized for their academic achievements with the MSC Academic All-Conference award.

Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) has announced that nearly 500 students were placed on the Dean's List for the Fall semester of 2014. To be placed on the Dean's List, the student must be a full-time undergraduate and have a 3.5 grade point average for the semester.

Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) President B. James Dawson conferred the degrees of 461 students on Saturday, May 3. Family and friends of over 400 students participated in the commencement ceremony held in the Tex Turner Arena. During the ceremony, LMU conferred 154 associates, 186 bachelor's, 117 master's and four doctoral degrees. Susan Ford Bales, the daughter of President Gerald R. Ford and Mrs. Betty Ford, gave the commencement address.
